Una de ellas sectorizada para el \u00e1rea de rob\u00f3tica, en la cual se imparte docencia de pregrado, articulando a su vez, programas de postgrado que contemplen cursos que involucran experiencias y actividades de laboratorio como Fundamentos de Rob\u00f3tica, Dise\u00f1o de Sistemas Rob\u00f3ticos y Rob\u00f3tica M\u00f3vil por mencionar algunos de ellos. Esta secci\u00f3n del laboratorio posee 10 kits de rob\u00f3tica m\u00f3vil de nivel b\u00e1sico, 40 kits de rob\u00f3tica m\u00f3vil y control de nivel intermedio y 5 robots m\u00f3viles Turtlebots para desarrollo de algoritmos de localizaci\u00f3n, navegaci\u00f3n y planificaci\u00f3n en rob\u00f3tica m\u00f3vil avanzada. La segunda secci\u00f3n contempla un \u00e1rea acad\u00e9mica que rodea el mundo de la electr\u00f3nica, en \u00e9l se imparten clases te\u00f3rico-pr\u00e1cticas de mediciones el\u00e9ctricas, electr\u00f3nica anal\u00f3gica y digital, comunicaciones y sistemas electr\u00f3nicos programables. Para estos efectos, se cuenta con alrededor de 20 estaciones de trabajo cada una con osciloscopio, fuente de poder, generador de se\u00f1ales, mult\u00edmetros, protoboards adem\u00e1s de contar con un amplio stock de componentes y circuitos el\u00e9ctricos y electr\u00f3nicos, para armar los circuitos requeridos en las pr\u00e1cticas. Cuenta con m\u00e1quinas rotatorias de escala industrial (s\u00edncrona, inducci\u00f3n y de corriente continua), set de transformadores, m\u00e1quina generalizada que permite construir cualquier m\u00e1quina el\u00e9ctrica rotatoria de baja potencia distribuidas en 7 estaciones de trabajo, en donde los estudiantes van rotando y realizando experiencias en cada una de ellas. Pueden tambi\u00e9n realizar pruebas sobre transformadores y armar diversas configuraciones trif\u00e1sicas; sobre m\u00e1quinas rotatorias como motores y generadores; construir m\u00e1quinas escaladas con partes y piezas, probar accionamientos electr\u00f3nicos b\u00e1sicos como lo son inversores y partidores suaves. En su interior se puede fabricar y evaluar el desempe\u00f1o de los dise\u00f1os. El Laboratorio cuenta con elementos de tecnolog\u00eda de vanguardia como impresoras de placas de circuitos, mult\u00edmetros, osciloscopios, fuentes de poder, generadores de frecuencias, impresoras 3D, estaciones de soldadura, adem\u00e1s de las herramientas necesarias para la perforaci\u00f3n y corte de metales, l\u00e1minas PCB, l\u00e1minas de madera, entre otros. En \u00e9l se imparten 3 secciones anuales del curso IEE2683 Laboratorio de Control Autom\u00e1tico. El Laboratorio cuenta con equipos especializados para la docencia de control aplicado, entre los que se cuentan: un sistema de tanques acoplados, un levitador magn\u00e9tico, un sistema MIMO Twin Rotor, un t\u00fanel de calor, y una m\u00e1quina de corriente cont\u00ednua. Adicionalmente, la infraestructura computacional incluye 2 servidores para simular sistemas de control industrial y sobre 30 tarjetas embebidas para prototipado de controladores industriales del tipo PLC. El laboratorio posee un brazo rob\u00f3tico industrial de 6 grados de libertad (DOF), un brazo rob\u00f3tico industrial de 5 DOF, un brazo rob\u00f3tico industrial paralelo de 4 DOF, un robot industrial cartesiano, 6 cuadrirotores, 4 motores BLDC, 25 motores BDC, 10 motores stepper, 10 c\u00e1maras de espectro visible, 4 c\u00e1maras TOF, 10 scanners lidar, 2 DGPS, 2, aceler\u00f3metros, 1 dispositivo de realidad virtual aumentada, 1 m\u00e1quina de impresi\u00f3n 3D. El laboratorio cuenta tambi\u00e9n con una excavadora industrial robotizada, 4 robots m\u00f3viles compactos, y una mesa de corte por plasma. Las materias que se imparten est\u00e1n en la frontera de la disciplina y en conexi\u00f3n con las demandas de automatizaci\u00f3n y rob\u00f3tica de la industria nacional y global. El laboratorio es adem\u00e1s parte de la iniciativa interdepartamental que re\u00fane a los Departamentos de Ciencia de la Computaci\u00f3n, Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Mec\u00e1nica y Metal\u00fargica, y al Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda El\u00e9ctrica en el Major de Ingenier\u00eda Rob\u00f3tica. En el \u00e1mbito de la investigaci\u00f3n, adem\u00e1s del conjunto de robots, actuadores y sensores, se realizan desarrollos algor\u00edtmicos para robots manipuladores m\u00f3viles.
