El laboratorio fue fundado en los a\u00f1os 90 por el Profesor Juan Dixon, siendo el primer y principal laboratorio de investigaci\u00f3n de la movilidad el\u00e9ctrica en Am\u00e9rica Latina. Los CPS son una evoluci\u00f3n de los sistemas embebidos tradicionales, se centran en la interacci\u00f3n con el mundo f\u00edsico, y combinan: capacidad de c\u00f3mputo avanzada, operaci\u00f3n en tiempo real, garant\u00edas de desempe\u00f1o y operaci\u00f3n aut\u00f3noma. Nuestro laboratorio realiza investigaci\u00f3n en todas las \u00e1reas base de los CPS, entre ellas: teor\u00eda de control, machine learning, computaci\u00f3n en tiempo real, protocolos de comunicaci\u00f3n y arquitecturas inform\u00e1ticas. Nuestro trabajo abarca desde la modelaci\u00f3n de sistemas hasta el dise\u00f1o de hardware y software, abordando desaf\u00edos en redes de comunicaci\u00f3n, computaci\u00f3n distribuida y conectividad en entornos desafiantes. Desarrollamos soluciones de conectividad y dise\u00f1o de redes IoT optimizadas para escenarios reales como la agricultura y extremos como el medio mar\u00edtimo, aline\u00e1ndonos con los desaf\u00edos emergentes en 5G\/6G y su intersecci\u00f3n con\u00a0<i>edge computing<\/i>\u00a0y\u00a0<i>TinyML<\/i>.
