Las exposiciones fueron:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/electrica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/img_4207-scaled.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-8781 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/electrica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/img_4207-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>*<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Eduards Trivino Vild\u00f3sola<\/strong>, alumno de Mag\u00edster del \u00e1rea Energ\u00eda, profesor supervisor Mat\u00edas Negrete.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Title:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cElectromobility and grid storage on data-driven power systems: Goals, impacts and efficiency integration\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract:<\/strong>\u00a0Chile has polluted transportation and a power system based on fossil fuels. For the transition to sustainable systems, decarbonization goals have been defined. Flexible resources, such as grid storage and electromobility with smart charging schemes, could be key to guiding this transition. This research studies the role of battery integration and electromobility in the decarbonization process in Chile by 2040. We define a data-driven framework to simulate electromobility scenarios and use a co-optimization model of transmission, bulk generation, and distributed energy resources with an in-depth representation of charging schemes for electromobility. Case studies based on the Chilean power system are developed, where different degrees of penetration of electric vehicles with smart charging schemes, batteries and other resources are considered. The results show that batteries have a significant integration by 2040, which promote the investment in renewable generation and the decentralization of the system, allowing distributed generation to be a quarter of the installed generation. Batteries turn out to be a key flexible resource, which enhances the dispatch of variable renewable generation, such as solar units. Electromobility increases demand requirements but promoting the use of smart charging schemes provides additional flexibility. Batteries and electromobility with smart charging reduce emissions from the power system, while electromobility also saves transport emissions. This paper concludes with public policy suggestions and a high-level analysis of Chile&#8217;s opportunities in the battery supply chain.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/electrica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/img_4208-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-8782 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/electrica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/img_4208-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>* Sebasti\u00e1n Carrasco Z\u00fa\u00f1iga,<\/strong>\u00a0alumno de Doctorado, del \u00e1rea Energ\u00eda, profesor supervisor David Watts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>T\u00edtulo:<\/strong>\u00a0Revisi\u00f3n regulatoria para los modelos de negocio de sistemas de almacenamiento para arbitraje de precios y servicios complementarios.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resumen:<\/strong>\u00a0Los sistemas de almacenamiento de energ\u00eda est\u00e1n siendo cada vez m\u00e1s importantes para el desarrollo de una matriz energ\u00e9tica interrumpible, debido a la transici\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica convencional centralizada, a una matriz mayoritariamente renovable y distribuida. Sin embargo, la naturaleza intermitente de la generaci\u00f3n solar y e\u00f3lica conlleva a una necesidad de incorporar sistemas que presten servicios complementarios, manteniendo una operaci\u00f3n a m\u00ednimo costo. Los dispositivos de almacenamiento de energ\u00eda permiten hacer coincidir las curvas de generaci\u00f3n y carga, sin embargo, el vertimiento e\u00f3lico y solar en el Sistema El\u00e9ctrico Nacional (SEN) presenta p\u00e9rdidas de energ\u00eda debido a las restricciones en los sistemas de transmisi\u00f3n, impidiendo que la generaci\u00f3n mediante energ\u00eda renovables pueda entregar la totalidad de su producci\u00f3n (Coordinador El\u00e9ctrico Nacional, 2022). Por ello, este problema puede ser reducido mediante el uso de sistemas de almacenamiento de bater\u00edas (BESS), resguardando la energ\u00eda del recurso renovable que no puede ser vendido al sistema el\u00e9ctrico debido a las restricciones de la red; as\u00ed mismo, el BESS o el operador puede gestionar la descarga cuando las limitaciones de la transmisi\u00f3n desaparezcan, evitando as\u00ed la p\u00e9rdida de energ\u00eda por vertimiento. Esta congesti\u00f3n debilita el mecanismo de competencia e invalida la optimizaci\u00f3n de los recursos de generaci\u00f3n en la red; haciendo el mercado el\u00e9ctrico menos eficiente, impidiendo que los consumidores tengan acceso a fuentes de energ\u00eda m\u00e1s econ\u00f3micas y quedando expuestos a mayores precios.
