Su tesis se titula <strong>&#8220;Fault-related Palaeopermeability in strike-slip Fault Zones: Jorgillo Fault, Atacama Fault System, Northern Chile\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4>Resumen<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El estudio de la permeabilidad relacionada a fallas geol\u00f3gicas es clave en la comprensi\u00f3n de la interacci\u00f3n din\u00e1mica entre la migraci\u00f3n de fluidos en la corteza y deformaci\u00f3n. Esto conlleva al entendimiento del emplazamiento y distribuci\u00f3n espacial de yacimientos minerales, recursos hidrogeol\u00f3gicos, y geot\u00e9rmicos en zonas de falla.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Esta tesis se enfoca en explicar las condiciones de formaci\u00f3n y distribuci\u00f3n espacial de la paleo-permeabilidad, por medio del estudio de microfracturas rellenas de minerales precipitados a partir de fluidos hidrotermales. Se estudi\u00f3 la Falla Jorgillo, una falla de rumbo sinistral de ca. 20 km de exposici\u00f3n, ubicada en el Sistema de Falla de Atacama, en el norte de Chile, la que registr\u00f3 movimientos hace por lo menos 125 millones de a\u00f1os, y representa a un sistema hidrotermal f\u00f3sil.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por medio de trabajo geol\u00f3gico-estructural de campo y de estudios de laboratorio, se realizaron estimaciones en 2D y modelamientos en 3D de la distribuci\u00f3n espacial de la paleo-permeabilidad de la zona de falla, donde se presentan posibles modelos de generaci\u00f3n de da\u00f1o que pueden explicar la distribuci\u00f3n observada. Dichos modelos se encuentran espacial y temporalmente asociados a la migraci\u00f3n de fluidos bajo condiciones de alta presi\u00f3n de fluido durante terremotos.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2842\"
