{"id":2870,"date":"2018-08-06T19:29:06","date_gmt":"2018-08-06T19:29:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/estructural-y-geotecnica\/?p=2870"},"modified":"2018-08-06T19:29:06","modified_gmt":"2018-08-06T19:29:06","slug":"defensa-tesis-de-magister-caracterizacion-geotecnica-de-suelos-diatomaceos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/estructural-y-geotecnica\/defensa-tesis-de-magister-caracterizacion-geotecnica-de-suelos-diatomaceos\/","title":{"rendered":"Defensa Tesis de Mag\u00edster: Caracterizaci\u00f3n Geot\u00e9cnica de Suelos Diatom\u00e1ceos"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>El alumno Ghio Franco Arenaldi Perisic defender\u00e1 su tesis titulada &#8220;Caracterizaci\u00f3n Geot\u00e9cnica de Suelos Diatom\u00e1ceos&#8221;.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La defensa se llevar\u00e1 a cabo el d\u00eda <strong>lunes 6 de agosto a las 18:00 horas<\/strong> en la <strong>Sala de Clases del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Estructural y Geot\u00e9cnica<\/strong>, Campus San Joaqu\u00edn.<\/p>\n<h4>Abstract<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;En esta investigaci\u00f3n se presenta un exhaustivo estudio de laboratorio sobre ensayos de compresi\u00f3n edom\u00e9trica, isotr\u00f3pica y resistencia al corte en muestras diatom\u00e1ceas de la Bah\u00eda de Mejillones, Chile. Se reportan tambi\u00e9n ensayos de columna resonante, torsi\u00f3n c\u00edclica, triaxial c\u00edclico y observaciones microsc\u00f3picas SEM de estos f\u00f3siles y de su composici\u00f3n mineral\u00f3gica. Para llevar a cabo la caracterizaci\u00f3n geot\u00e9cnica se extrajeron varias muestras a partir de bloques inalterados desde una profundidad de 1 a 3 metros, las cuales fueron llevadas a laboratorio selladas con pel\u00edculas pl\u00e1sticas y almacenadas en c\u00e1mara h\u00fameda.<br \/>\nA pesar de su baja densidad y alta plasticidad, el material alcanza valores elevados de resistencia al corte y un comportamiento relativamente r\u00edgido hasta una presi\u00f3n de preconsolidaci\u00f3n del orden de 0.5 MPa, debido probablemente a procesos de diag\u00e9nesis y a la trabaz\u00f3n entre microf\u00f3siles. Sobre dicha presi\u00f3n, el suelo presenta un comportamiento altamente compresible en consolidaci\u00f3n y fuertemente contractivo en corte.<br \/>\nFinalmente, los resultados se contrastan con datos reportados en la literatura para poder comparar el comportamiento de estos suelos singulares con respecto a resultados cl\u00e1sicos en finos y arenas.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h4>Rese\u00f1a<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ghio comparti\u00f3 con nosotros su impresi\u00f3n sobre el programa de Mag\u00edster: &#8220;El Mag\u00edster en Ciencias de la Ingenier\u00eda permite no solo retroalimentar los conocimientos adquiridos durante pregrado sino que tambi\u00e9n permite obtener destrezas que en el mundo laboral son necesarias. Saber encontrar y escoger informaci\u00f3n relevante para tu investigaci\u00f3n o proyecto as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n cumplir ciertos horarios y objetivos a largo plazo son aptitudes que a la larga permiten un \u00f3ptimo a la hora de trabajar en proyectos de gran envergadura, como lo son en mi caso, proyectos geot\u00e9cnicos asociados a la gran miner\u00eda&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>La comisi\u00f3n
