Entre los nominados se encuentra Gonzalo Cort\u00e9s, alumnos de Ingenier\u00eda Estructural, por su participaci\u00f3n como l\u00edder del Proyecto Escalera de la IEDIEG en 2018.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2900\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2900\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2900 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/estructural-y-geotecnica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/njjw4222-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/estructural-y-geotecnica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/njjw4222-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/estructural-y-geotecnica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/njjw4222-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/estructural-y-geotecnica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/njjw4222-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/estructural-y-geotecnica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/njjw4222.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2900\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Gonzalo Cort\u00e9s junto a otros miembros de la IEDIEG y la comunidad en la inauguraci\u00f3n del Proyecto Escalera.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde su primer a\u00f1o de universidad, Gonzalo particip\u00f3 en voluntariados, llegando a ser jefe de la comisi\u00f3n Talleres en Proyecta UC y siendo parte de dos campa\u00f1as impulsadas por Techo. Sin embargo, Gonzalo sent\u00eda que hab\u00eda nuevos desaf\u00edos que enfrentar, por lo cual en 2016 se incorpor\u00f3 al Cap\u00edtulo Estudiantil de Ingenier\u00eda Estructural Geot\u00e9cnica, con el objetivo de aplicar los conocimientos y habilidades de su carrera para ser aporte a comunidades vulnerables. Y en ese periodo, fue el Proyecto Escalera uno de sus hitos: una escalera modular que mejor\u00f3 la accesibilidad y calidad de vida de 52 familias del campamento Vista al Mar, en el sector 2 de Playa Ancha, en Valpara\u00edso. \u201cAl principio, no nos dimos cuenta de la magnitud que tendr\u00eda (el proyecto), pero que s\u00ed nos comprometimos desde un principio, manteniendo el esfuerzo y convicci\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gracias al resultado del trabajo y esfuerzo realizado en equipo, el Proyecto Escalera fue seleccionado dentro de las ocho propuestas finalistas del Foro Latinoamericano de Infraestructura 2018. Actualmente, Gonzalo trabaja en un proyecto de accesibilidad para los habitantes de Pe\u00f1aflor, demostrando que sus dos pasiones, su profesi\u00f3n y la acci\u00f3n social, pueden trabajar en conjunto para cambiar realidades.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a universidad, de los cuales nueve de ellos son de la Escuela de
