Actividad online, v\u00eda Zoom.<\/h4>\n<p><\/p>\n<p align = \"justify\">Continuamos el ciclo de Seminarios de este semestre el pr\u00f3ximo martes 19 de abril a las 13:00 hrs, con la presentaci\u00f3n de nuestro estudiante Marco F. Gallegos y el seminario &#8220;Desempe\u00f1o a colapso de edificios altos de oficinas sujetos a terremotos subductivos&#8221;, tema central de su investigaci\u00f3n de tesis.<\/p>\n<h4>Abstract<\/h4>\n<p align = \"justify\">El buen desempe\u00f1o de los edificios chilenos previniendo el colapso ha sido ampliamente reconocido luego de los \u00faltimos terremotos. Sin embargo, existe poca investigaci\u00f3n que cuantifique el real potencial de colapso de estas estructuras. El presente estudio eval\u00faa espec\u00edficamente el riesgo de colapso de edificios altos estructurados en base a muros-marcos de hormig\u00f3n armado destinados a oficinas. El conjunto de arquetipos fue dise\u00f1ado de acuerdo a la normativa chilena vigente considerando distintas zonas s\u00edsmicas y suelos de fundaci\u00f3n. Siguiendo los \u00faltimos avances en Ingenier\u00eda S\u00edsmica Basada en Desempe\u00f1o (PBEE, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), an\u00e1lisis din\u00e1micos incrementales, utilizando registros subductivos chilenos, fueron implementados en modelos 3D no\u2010lineales de los edificios. Se estimaron curvas de fragilidad a colapso, las cuales fueron combinadas con las respectivas curvas de amenaza s\u00edsmica para obtener diferentes m\u00e9tricas de colapso. Se analizan cr\u00edticamente los resultados y se discute el grado de calibraci\u00f3n de la normativa chilena vigente.\n <\/p>\n<h4>Nuestro Expositor<\/h4>\n<p align = \"justify\">Marco Gallegos es Ingeniero Civil de la Escuela Polit\u00e9cnica Nacional de Ecuador, que ha dedicado los \u00faltimos 12 a\u00f1os al desarrollo de proyectos de ingenier\u00eda I+D+i, investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica y docencia universitaria en centros de Europa y Am\u00e9rica Latina. M\u00e1ster en Innovaci\u00f3n, Tecnolog\u00eda y Sostenibilidad en la Construcci\u00f3n por el CSIC de Espa\u00f1a, y Mag\u00edster en Ciencias de la Ingenier\u00eda menci\u00f3n Ingenier\u00eda Estructural, S\u00edsmica y Geot\u00e9cnica por la Universidad de Chile. Actualmente es candidato a doctor por la Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile.
