d\u00edas 6 y 7 de noviembre, se realiz\u00f3 el 1er Simposio de Contaminantes Emergentes y Procesos Avanzados de Oxidaci\u00f3n (CEPAOx 2025) en la Facultad de Qu\u00edmica y de Farmacia de la Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile. El encuentro reuni\u00f3 a investigadoras\/es, estudiantes, profesionales del sector p\u00fablico y privado, y representantes de la industria del agua para abordar los desaf\u00edos actuales en monitoreo, tratamiento y valorizaci\u00f3n de contaminantes emergentes. En esta instancia, el Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Hidr\u00e1ulica y Ambiental (DIHA) estuvo representado por David Barr\u00eda, estudiante de doctorado, y Nicol\u00e1s Hoffmann, investigador postdoctoral, quienes presentaron investigaciones en formato p\u00f3ster sobre la degradaci\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica de contaminantes emergentes, incluyendo compuestos organohalogenados y organosiliconados presentes en riles industriales en condiciones anaerobias.
