Entre las investigaciones seleccionadas se encuentra la de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/industrial-y-sistemas\/team\/margarita-castro\/\">Margarita Castro<\/a>, profesora de la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/\">Escuela de Ingenier\u00eda UC<\/a>.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span data-contrast=\"none\">Antecedentes de la\u00a0investigaci\u00f3n<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">El proyecto registrado bajo el n\u00famero\u00a01261833, tendr\u00e1 por nombre \u201cExploiting\u00a0Decision\u00a0Diagrams\u00a0for\u00a0Optimization\u00a0Under\u00a0Uncertainty\u201d. Esta\u00a0iniciativa\u00a0buscar\u00e1 desarrollar nuevos algoritmos matem\u00e1ticos para resolver problemas de optimizaci\u00f3n bajo incertidumbre.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Para Castro, este tipo de problem\u00e1ticas es muy com\u00fan en la pr\u00e1ctica. Pues su abordaje implica planificar con variables como d\u00edas, meses u a\u00f1os de anticipaci\u00f3n, donde la incertidumbre juega un papel importante en los que podr\u00eda esperarse dentro de una organizaci\u00f3n.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cEste proyecto busca desarrollar nuevos algoritmos que apoyen la toma de decisiones basadas en diagramas de decisi\u00f3n\u201d, coment\u00f3 Castro.\u00a0As\u00ed, la principal motivaci\u00f3n de la profesora para llevar a cabo este proyecto se encuentra en su inter\u00e9s en la optimizaci\u00f3n bajo incertidumbre, algo que le ha interesado desde su \u00e9poca como estudiante de pregrado.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cEste proyecto b\u00e1sicamente junta estos dos grandes intereses\u00a0\u2014la optimizaci\u00f3n bajo incertidumbre y el desarrollo de\u00a0algoritmos \u2014\u00a0que\u00a0tengo para dise\u00f1ar mejores y m\u00e1s eficientes m\u00e9todos de optimizaci\u00f3n\u201d.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span data-contrast=\"none\">Desaf\u00edos de la investigaci\u00f3n<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Con los fondos adjudicados, la profesora desarrollar\u00e1 su investigaci\u00f3n junto a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/industrial-y-sistemas\/team\/gustavo-angulo\/\">Gustavo Angulo<\/a>, profesor de la Escuela de Ingenier\u00eda UC que\u00a0actuar\u00e1 como coinvestigador.
