We\u2019re thrilled to announce a call for applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Department of Construction Engineering and Management at the Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile\u2014the top-ranked university in Latin America for Civil and Structural Engineering (QS World University Rankings 2025).<\/p>

This position is part of our broader mission to transform the built environment through cutting-edge research on climate-resilient, carbon-neutral, and smart materials for buildings and infrastructure. The selected researcher will collaborate with leading experts across UC research centers, including the Concrete Innovation Center and the Wood Innovation Center.<\/p>

Key Details:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Focus: Smart, sustainable, and resilient construction materials<\/li>
  • Duration: 2 years<\/li>
  • Start Date: Preferably August 2025<\/li>
  • Stipend: Approx. CLP $1,900,000\/month (\u2248 USD $2,000)<\/li>
  • Location: Santiago, Chile<\/li><\/ul>

    Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>

    • Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics, or a related field (completed within the last 4 years)<\/li>
    • Demonstrated research experience with publications in international peer-reviewed journals<\/li>
    • Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus)<\/li>
    • A strong interest in sustainable, climate-adaptive construction<\/li><\/ul>
