Su trabajo se centr\u00f3 en la gesti\u00f3n de flotas de buses que operan en diversas l\u00edneas y que comparten un terminal com\u00fan para iniciar y finalizar sus recorridos.<\/p><div><p>El objetivo principal de la investigaci\u00f3n de Jos\u00e9 fue demostrar que la implementaci\u00f3n de interlineado de buses, que consiste en la posibilidad de asignar buses a cualquiera de las l\u00edneas del sistema cuando este llega al terminal despu\u00e9s de finalizar cada recorrido, puede reducir los tiempos de espera de los usuarios del sistema.<\/p><p>Adem\u00e1s, explor\u00f3 la estrategia de\u00a0<i>holding\u00a0<\/i>a lo largo de los recorridos y los instantes de despacho de cada bus desde el terminal. El \u00abholding\u00bb consiste en la posibilidad de retener a los buses un cierto tiempo en cada uno de los paraderos, con la finalidad de mantener la regularidad del servicio a los usuarios, asegurando que la distancia entre los buses que cubren cada l\u00ednea sea lo m\u00e1s uniforme posible.<\/p><\/div><p>Este evento fue una plataforma ideal para intercambiar ideas, discutir
