{"id":7271,"date":"2020-01-23T15:51:33","date_gmt":"2020-01-23T18:51:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/transporte-y-logistica\/?p=7271"},"modified":"2023-10-10T10:13:44","modified_gmt":"2023-10-10T13:13:44","slug":"profesores-del-ditl-participan-en-la-conferencia-trb-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ing.uc.cl\/transporte-y-logistica\/profesores-del-ditl-participan-en-la-conferencia-trb-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Profesores del DITL participan en la conferencia TRB y Transforming Transportation en Washington DC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Entre los d\u00edas 12 y 16 de enero de 2020, profesores e investigadores asociados al Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda de Transporte y Log\u00edstica UC asistieron a la reuni\u00f3n anual del <strong>Transport Research Board (TRB)<\/strong> en la ciudad de Washington D.C., USA.<\/p>\n<p>En esta 99\u00b0 versi\u00f3n de la conferencia, el lema de la reuni\u00f3n fue \u00ab<em>A Century of Progress: Foundation for the Future\u00bb<\/em>, el cual hace referencia a la celebraci\u00f3n del Centenario del TRB Conference que se llevar\u00e1 a cabo a inicios del pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>En esta oportunidad, el profesor <strong>Juan Carlos Mu\u00f1oz<\/strong> particip\u00f3 presentando el poster <em>\u00abUnderstanding What Elements Influence a Bus Driver to Use Headway Regularity Tools: A Case Study of the Santiago Public Transit System\u00bb<\/em>, cuya autor\u00eda cuenta con el propio Mu\u00f1oz, adem\u00e1s del profesor <strong>Felipe Delgado<\/strong>, el estudiante de Doctorado <strong>Yerly Mart\u00ednez<\/strong> y la acad\u00e9mica de Georgia Tech Dr. Kari Watkins. Adicionalmente, el postdoctorante asociado del Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n BRT+ <strong>Hemant Suman<\/strong> present\u00f3 el poster <em>\u00abFrequency Optimization Models for Reducing Overcrowding Discomfort\u00bb<\/em>, cuya coautor\u00eda comparte con Kinshuk Agrawal y Nomesh Bolia, ambos investigadores del Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.<\/p>\n<p>De forma paralela a esta actividad, entre los d\u00edas 16 y 17 de enero en la misma ciudad norteamericana, se llev\u00f3 a cabo la conferencia anual <strong>Transforming Transportation<\/strong>, organizada por World Bank Group y WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities, en la cual la profesora<strong> Lake Sagaris<\/strong> particip\u00f3 liderando el panel en la plenaria <em>Economic Empowerment Through Accessibility for All<\/em>.    \t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El profesor Juan Carlos Mu\u00f1oz y el postdoctorante Hemant Suman estuvieron presentes en la conferencia TRB.
