Estrategia para la Implementación de unaPolítica de Datos FAIR en Chile

Abstract

This report presents Chile’s national strategy for implementing the FAIR data principles—Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable—across its scientific and institutional ecosystems. Developed through a multi-institutional collaboration, it identifies key stakeholders, analyzes current gaps (such as cultural, technical, and regulatory barriers), and proposes actions in governance, infrastructure, training, and policy to foster a robust data environment. The strategy also recommends establishing a GO FAIR Chile office to coordinate national efforts and connect with global initiatives, positioning Chile as a regional leader in open science and responsible data stewardship.
