Roberto Cominetti holds a degree in Mathematical Engineering from Universidad de Chile and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Université Blaise Pascal, France. He is currently a full professor with a shared position at the Institute of Mathematical and Computational Engineering and the School of Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Previous appointments include the Department of Mathematical Engineering at the University of Chile, and the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences at Adolfo Ibáñez University. Along his academic career, his research has focused on convex optimization, fixed-point iterations, non-expansive maps, optimal transportation, game theory, and transportation networks.
