Abstract
Several experiences and results of the Tablet PC adoption have been reported, mainly in American universities. Although the benefits seem to be
highly interesting, it is not clear if they are replicable in developing countries. In order to try to understand the impact of Tablet PCs on engineering education
in Chile, the authors conducted several experiments at the two traditional Chilean universities. This paper reports the experiences and the obtained results,
comparing them with those obtained in American universities.
