Geochemical and synkinematical nature of hydrothermal fluids in a Mesozoic tip-fault within the Atacama Fault System.

Abstract

: Hydrothermal fluid flow and faults have been recognized to be spatially linked during cortical deformation. In this work we present structural and geochemical results obtained from samples collected in the Bolfín fault – a second order fault belonging to the Caleta Coloso duplex within the Atacama Fault System – in order to establish relationship between them.
