Professor Elodio Blanco pursued her studies, achieving a Technical Degree in Chemistry from Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris VI, a Chemical Engineer degree from ENSICaen, University of Normandie, and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Lyon.

Her position is shared between the Department of Chemical Engineering and Bioprocesses and the Department of Engineering and Construction Management.

She has an outstanding experience as a Fellow at the Mexican Institute of Petroleum (IMP) in 2010, a Fellow at the French Institute of Petroleum and New Energies (IFEN) in 2011, a Doctoral Candidate at the Institute of Catalysis and Environmental Research in Lyon (IRCELyon) from 2011 to 2014, a Postdoctoral Researcher at Eni S.p.a / Institute of Catalysis and Environmental Research in Lyon (IRCELyon), France, a Full-Time Postdoctoral Researcher at Pontifical Catholic University of Chile from 2017 to 2020, a Full-Time Postdoctoral Researcher at the CSC Millennium Nucleus from 2020 to 2022, and an Assistant Professor from 2022 to the present date.
