Abstract

Construction companies are organizations intensive in knowledge and highly dependent on the competences of his professionals and temporary collaborators. At present, the knowledge management is one of the principal competitiveness strategies. An effective proposal of knowledge management needs to adoption a specific organizational structure in site; co-management; technological mediation; and organizational culture that privileges the socialization and systematization of site experiences. The use of a model of knowledge management and maturation allows analyzing the levels of co-management that facilitate the above-mentioned socialization and systematization. This document presents general characteristics of model, organizational structures more used in construction projects, and the levels of socialization and systematization that they provide.In the analysis of the different types of site organization, it is observed that the biggest levels of co-management are located in the resources provision for different work fronts, not this way for the information flows, procedures and strategies, resting the above mentioned in the project manager. The improvement of the co-management in the above mentioned areas, it will facilitate the socialization and the systematization of key information of the projects, supporting significantly knowledge management in construction companies.
