Student mentors

Mentors are second- to sixth-year students tasked with ensuring freshmen are accompanied throughout their entire first year, starting from their first day on campus. The expectations of this program are a favorable adaptation process and greater integration and inclusion within the School of Engineering. The Student Mentor program was founded in 1991 out of a desire not only to address educational topics, but also to ensure the academic and personal wellbeing of freshmen. This group is particularly active in supporting freshmen accepted through the Talent and Inclusion Program, providing one-on-one support for each incoming student.
