Work transition programs

If you are in a transition process in your working life, but you do not yet have clear what direction you want to take, these programs can help you define your path.

The programs detailed below follow the Lukkap methodology, which includes group workshops and guidance from a specialized coach until achieving the goals defined together.

The coach, through their experience and advice, will help in responding to the practical needs and doubts you will have during this transition period. They will guide you, support you, and help you systematize your process, in addition to following-up on advancements.

Once you embark on this journey, you will discover your path to being rehired, entrepreneurship, or active retirement.

Rehiring: the objectives are to be rehired as soon as possible, increase your chances of success, and achieve a fit between your career path and ideal job position.

Three stages are included in the applied methodology: defining your value proposition and your career vision; developing the tools needed to conduct a job search; and creating and implementing a plan of action.

Entrepreneurship: if you have chosen to become independent and create your own source of work, Lukkap will help you evaluate your entrepreneurial abilities and capacity by following an analytical methodology developed by the United Nations Global Entrepreneurs Council:

  • Entrepreneurial Characteristics Questionnaire.
  • Critical Incident Interviews.
  • Analysis of strengths and weaknesses and final conclusions.

After this, the program will continue to accompany you as you adapt to your new role as an entrepreneur, with emphasis given to developing the previously defined personal characteristics.

To assess the economics of your project, test viability, and launch your business, additional support is available through UC School of Engineering resources detailed on the UC EMPRENDE ENGINEERING NETWORK.

Active retirement: directed towards professionals nearing retirement age. The objective is to achieve a life transition that is harmonic and active, with guidance provided on subjects related to redesigning one’s working life. Two stages are included in the applied methodology:

  • Redefining life: personal (family and finances) and professional balance when faced with change and evaluating rehiring alternatives, entrepreneurship, and non-profit activities. Defining a new plan for personal and professional development.
  • Implementation of a future plan: management of contact networks and designing a plan of action.
