Delegation from the University of Edinburgh visits UC Engineering

Scholars in the areas of biology, chemistry, geoscience, and mathematics met with UC Engineering professors to discuss topics associated with global challenges in sustainability and energy.

Participants from both universities met to discuss topics of energy and sustainability

A delegation of scholars with varying specialties in the fields of biology, chemistry, geoscience, and mathematics visited the Universidad Católica School of Engineering on April 26. The objective of the visit was to strengthen the link between both institutions in research on sustainability and energy.

The day was filled with a series of activities, including the presentation of distinct research lines headed by the University of Edinburgh.

The delegation also had the chance to discuss the state-of-the-art and new research perspectives in the fields of energy and sustainability with Universidad Católica professors. Opportunities for collaboration and advancements in post-graduate research were also discussed with UC Engineering authorities.

The visit ended with a meeting between academia and industry to confer on different cases, all related to energy and sustainability. This created an instance for sharing and conversing on these topics.
